CONNECTIONS TO EUROPE
BOSPHORUS EXPRESS HAS STARTED TO BE OPERATED BETWEEN ISTANBUL-CERKEZKOY AND ISTANBUL AS HAVING A CONNECTION OF BUS ON 20 JUNE 2010. DOSTLUK/FILIA EXPRESS WILL ALSO BE OPERATED BETWEEN ISTANBUL-CERKEZKOY-ISTANBUL AS HAVING A CONNECTION OF BUS ON 2 JULY 2010.
The train connection between Turkey and European countries is provided by Bosphorus Express operating daily and reciprocally between Istanbul-Bucarest-Istanbul and Dostluk/Filia Express between Istanbul-Thessalonica-Istanbul. Istanbul-Sofia connection and Istanbul-Belgrad connection are provided by the wagons hitched onto the Bosphorus Express.

ADDITIONAL SUPPLEMENT PRICES FOR SLEEPING CARS IN DOSTLUK/FILIA EXPRESS:
One person in a sleeping car for 2 (double) : 30,00 Euros
One person in a sleeping car for 1 (single) : 50,00 Euros
The train is only formed by air-conditioned sleeping cars. In cases where 1 person is travelling in a sleeping car, 1st class ticket, in cases where 2 people are travelling in a sleeping car, 2nd class ticket is valid. Return ticket fares are two times as much as one-way ticket fares.

INTERRAIL PASS SERVICE
InterRail Pass service consists of mainly two categories which can be listed as follows:
- InterRail Global Pass
- InterRail Single Country Pass
InterRail Pass is a ticket which allows the customer travel freely on the routes of Administrations where the Pass is valid for a designated time span depending on the category and validity period.
InterRail Global Pass Card
There are 4 different types of InterRail Global Pass Card that are optional for passengers:
. 5-day validity in a 10-day validity period (flexible)
. 10-day validity in a 22-day validity period (flexible)
. for 15 days (non-stop)
. for 22 days (non-stop)
. for 1 month (non-stop)
Interrail Single Country Pass Card
InterRail Single Country Pass is issued for 3, 4, 6 or 8 days in a one-month validity period for all railway lines (in 27 countries' railways) included in the InterRail services and depending on the request of the customer.
Participant Railway Administrations of InterRail Global Pass and InterRail Single Country Pass:
Germany, Austria, Belgium ***, Bosnia-Herzegovina *, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Croatia, Holland ***, England, Irish Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Montenegro *, Luxemburg***,
Hungary, Macedonian Republic, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Greece and the Attica group** which provides sea transportation between Italy and Greece.
* Does not have InterRail Single Country Pass
** For the sea line of Attica Group between Italy and Greece, an InterRail Greece Plus Pass
*** Constitutes InterRail Benelux Pass along with CFL, NS and SNCB
- InterRail Pass cards can be purchased 3 months before the beginning of the validity period.
- InterRail Global Pass is not valid in the country of residence but can provide a one time discount of 50% on the price of ticket taking the customer from the station of residence to the station at the border (only Istanbul-Kapikule and Istanbul-Pythion).
- InterRail Single Country Pass cannot be sold for the country of residence.
- For the travels made using InterRail Pass, a price or price difference must be paid for the upgrade of class in the train, high-speed train, for the usage of sleeping car and couchette or the obligatory reservation of seats etc.
- InterRail also provides discounts of different amounts in some certain sea and railway transportation and also offers discounts and/or free entrances in some hotels, museums and InterRail centers.
- InterRail Pass cards can be purchased by the citizens who are residing in Europe permanently or citizens of other countries who can prove their residence, by a document, in a European country for more than 6 months.
- InterRail Pass cards can be returned before begining of validity period, in this case, %15 of the fare will be cut down.
Fares (in Euro)
InterRail Global Pass card and InterRail Single Country Pass card are only available for 1st and 2nd class for adults (26 years and older) and seniors (60 years and older), only for 2nd class for young people (younger than 27 years). For children (4-12 years) a discount of %50 will be made on the adult ticket prices.

GROUP TICKET
The railway administrations of European countries apply reductions at significant rates for groups consisting of at least 6 people. In order to benefit from this reduction, the passengers are required to travel with individual ticket under the control of group head in the same train from the departure station to the arrival station.
BALKAN FLEXIPASS CARD
Balkan Flexipass card gives an unlimited travel opportunity for a period of 5, 10 or 15 days in the railway routes of the Balkan countries (Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro and Greece ) within its validity period of one month. In case that the selling country is the resident country of the passenger, Balkan Flexipass Card is only valid in the round trip route between departure/arrival station and border point of the said country. Children under the age of 12 years travel for the half of adults' (those over the age of 26 years) fare.
