CONNECTIONS TO EUROPE

Train connection between our country and European countries is provided mutually with the Bosphorus Express serving between Istanbul - Bucharest - Istanbul everyday and with the train serving between Istanbul - Selonika - Istanbul everyday. Connections between Istanbul - Sofia and Istanbul - Belgrad , are provided with the wagons hitched onto the Bosphorus Express train.

ISTANBUL- SALONIKA - ISTANBUL DOSTLUK/FILIA EXPRESS TRAIN
Since the train only consists of sleeping cars, in addition to the ticket; paying bed supplement fare is essential.

ADDITIONAL BED FARES:
One person in a compartment with 2 beds (double) : 25,-Euro
One person in a compartment with 1 bed (single) . : 50,-Euro

1 st class ticket is valid for traveling in a compartment with 1 bed and 2 nd class ticket is valid for 2 traveling in a compartment with 2 beds. Return ticket fares are two times as much single ticket fares.
TCDD wagons of the train is constituted of TVS type of 5 sleeping cars with 10 compartment and a generator wagon, and OSE wagons of the train is constituted of 3 sleeping cars with 18 compartments.

INTERRAIL PASS SERVICE

InterRail Pass service consists of mainly two categories which can be listed as follows;

• InterRail Global Pass
• InterRail Single Country Pass

InterRail Pass is a ticket, depending on the category and validity period, which lets the customer travel freely in the routes of administrations where the Pass is valid for a designated time span.
InterRail Global Pass Card
•  5-day validity in a 10-day period (flexible)
•  10-day validity in a 22-day period (flexible)
•  22 days (continuously)
•  1 month (continuously)
InterRail Single Country Pass Card
InterRail Single Country Pass is valid among every railroad line (in 27 countries) which is included in InterRail services and depending on the form of request of the customer can be arranged as 3,4,6 or 8 days in a 1 month validity period.

• InterRail Pass cards can be purchased 3 months before the beginning of the validity period.
• InterRail Global Pass is not valid in the country of residence but can provide a one time discount of 50% on the price of ticket taking the customer from the station of residence to the station at the border (only Istanbul-Kapikule and Istanbul-Pythion).
• InterRail Single Country Pass cannot be sold for the country of residence.
• Concerning the travels made using InterRail Pass , a price or price difference must be paid for the upgrade of class in the train, high-speed train, for the usage of sleeping car and couchette or necessary reservation of seats etc.
• InterRail also provides discounts of different amounts in some certain sea and railway transportation and also offers discounts and/or free entrances in some hotels, museums and InterRail centers.
• InterRail Pass cards can be purchased by citizens who are residing in Europe permanently or citizens of other countries who can prove their residence in a European country for more than 6 months.
• InterRail Pass cards can be returned before the period of validity begins, in this case, %15 of the refund will be cut down.
• InterRail Pass cards can be purchased from our railway stations in Istanbul (Sirkeci) and Ankara and also from the following agencies; Gençtur, Final Tourism, Gemini Tourism, Cosmopolitan in Istanbul, Ray Tour, BSB Tourism in Ankara and Ayanis Tourism in Van.

InterRail Global Pass card and InterRail Single Country Pass card can be arranged for 1st and 2nd class for adults ( 26 years and older) and only for 2nd class for young people (younger than 27 years). For children (4-12 years) a discount of %50 will be made with respect to adult ticket prices.

Istanbul-Kapikule return ticket price with discount of 50%: 2nd class 15,00 Euro, 1st class 22, 40 Euro
Istanbul-Pythion return ticket price with discount of 50%: 2nd class 13, 20 Euro, 1st class 19, 80 Euro

GROUP TICKET
The railway administrations of European countries apply reductions at significant rates for groups consisting of at least 6 people. In order to benefit from this reduction, the passengers are required to travel with individual ticket under the control of group head in the same train from the departure station to the arrival station.

BALKAN FLEXIPASS CARD
Balkan Flexipass card gives an unlimited travel opportunity for a period of 5, 10 or 15 days in the railway routes of the Balkan countries ( Bulgaria , Macedonia , Romania , Turkey , Yugoslavia , Serbia , Montenegro and Greece ) within its validity period of one month.
